Dvd-ram Cartridge Questions

What is a Non-Cartridge Disc?
I purchased a pack of 5 Single Sided DVD-RAM Non-Cartridge Disc (4.7GB each). It looks golden (pretty unusual) on the writing side.
My computer doesn’t reconise it at all.
What is Non-Cartridge Disc and how may I use it on my PC or Laptop?
Both my PC and laptop are Windows, Post 2007 hence New.
Non Cartdridge is a disk that doesn’t come in a cartridge (yes, that’s probably not what you were looking for, heh). A cartridge is a “cover” basically. Kind of like how the PSP’s games use cartridges. If you didn’t know what a cartridge is, it’s pretty safe to assume your PC doesn’t use cartridge DVDs.
Also, the reason your drive didn’t recognize it is probably because you have a generic DVD-RW drive. You’ll have to get a more expensive DVD-RAM drive. Oh well.
