I was looking into buying a cd/rw-dvdrom external drive but I’m not sure what speed is better; high or low?
One that I’m looking at is:

and the other is:

CD-R: 52X
CD-RW: 32X

the X’s are pretty much meaningless, especially with DVDs. They refer to how much faster than the first drives of that kind they are.
